A photographic discovery of the wonderful dogs who inhabit the concrete jungle of Downtown Los Angeles.
Welcome....
Welcome to Dogs of Downtown where we showcase our wonderful four-legged friends who live and visit the Downtown Los Angeles area.
Downtown Los Angeles is home to more than 13,000 dogs who live in lofts, apartments, houses and hotels. As Downtown continues to expand and grow, so too will the number of pets. Downtown Los Angeles is unique in that most lofts and residential buildings allow dogs - most without breed/weight restrictions. This attracts many people who own or wish to own a dog to move into the area. Couple that with the increasing number of world class restaurants, activities and nightlife and it becomes clear why Downtown is one of the most desireable and fastest growing areas in Los Angeles.
Dogs of Downtown strives to show-off our incredible diverse mix of dogs who walk the streets, play in the parks and hang out at restaurants. We hope you enjoy it!

Chris - Hedgehog
Chris, aka Cranky Chris, is a pygmy hedgehog who isn't really all that cranky! He just woke up from his daily sleep and is ready to face the night. He's quite friendly and loves his kitten food crunchies! He is covered in spines that are stiff but not sharp like a porcupine's. When threatened, he rolls up into a ball, tucking his face into his tummy. Adorable isn't a strong enough word to describe this baby!!
